As most of you all know, I am currently in my second year at Georgia Tech pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering with a minor in Spanish. I am so grateful to God to be able to go to this school and do what I get to do, especially with the people I am meeting along the way.

This past summer was such evidence of this as I was able to study abroad in France where I went to school every week and traveled to a new place every weekend. But one thing I always kept in mind as I did this was, “This world doesn’t even compare to how great Heaven is.” Even though this opportunity would be one people would dream of and for which I am so grateful to have experienced, nothing can compare to the wonder and awe we as believers will have in Heaven.

However, throughout this time, God was doing works in me that I could not see. One day, sitting on my bed in the middle of the June heat, the idea of doing the World Race popped into my mind. Having grown up in a God-fearing family and one that values mission work, I knew exactly what the World Race/Adventures in Mission was and their values. Specifically, there was one time where we hosted people from the Race in our home, and this especially piqued my interest. Since then, my family and I have always followed the World Race and encouraged me to also one day go on a trip. However, the only question was when.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:9

If anyone knows me well, they know I like my plans. For school, I have my four-year plan, and funny enough I even have a Google Doc called “Life Plan”. So when God was calling me to this, my response was, “No way, I can’t do that; that’s not in the plan.” But as I was thinking and looking more into this seemingly crazy idea, the more and more it started to make sense for my life. I was projected to graduate a semester early as I am currently in my fifth semester here at Tech and just in the halfway point of being here. And if I really were to do this, I felt it needed to be a trip to a Spanish-speaking country after having taken many classes in the language and wanting it to be of use. Perfectly, there was a trip in January to South America, specifically to Ecuador and Columbia. This gave me enough time to be able to prepare for this endeavor. After talking to my parents, it was decided- January 2024 I would launch to South America to spread the Good News of Jesus.

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens”
Ecclesiastes 3:1

God’s timing has always proved to be perfect, and I know it has been perfect for so many people across generations, and in this I know it only is the same. And this is only a little snippet of what God has done in my life and I’m incredibly excited for this opportunity, but this cannot be possible without Jesus in the middle as well as everyone he brings to be able to partner with me in this ministry in terms of prayers and funds.

Your prayers and financial support will be used to support me as I help minister the gospel to parts of Ecuador and Columbia where we will be partnering with ministries there. I pray that this opportunity will be able to bless the local people there as well as be a blessing for myself to grow deeper in my faith and my service and love toward others. Anything in terms of prayers and funds would be such a blessing as I prepare to step into this next chapter of what God is calling me to. These blessings would be greatly appreciated, but above all, prayers for the work that God is doing there and will continue to do would be the best.
